1. Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment.

3. Everyone who works has the right to just and favourable remuneration ensuring for himself and his family an existence worthy of human dignity, and supplemented, if necessary, by other means of social protection.

4. Everyone has the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests.

Inequality in the workforce still exists. Overall, women do not receive the same salary as men, and high-level positions continue to be mainly occupied by men. It is getting better, but we are not near equality. Diversity in the workplace is still a big challenge for companies. Many studies have shown that half of the job agencies discriminate on race, gender and religion. The systematic maintenance of this only creates more significant inequality.

Ongelijkheid op de werkvloer bestaat nog steeds. Vrouwen krijgen nog altijd niet dezelfde salaris als mannen. Hoge posities worden voor een groot deel nog steeds door mannen bekleed. Het schijnt beter te gaan, maar we zijn er nog lang niet. Diversiteit op de werkvloer is nog steeds een grote uitdaging voor bedrijven. Uit verschillende onderzoeken is gebleken dat meer dan de helft van de uitzendbureaus op ras, gender en religie discrimineren. Het systematisch in stand houden hiervan zorgt alleen maar voor een grotere ongelijkheid.
