Nothing in this Declaration may be interpreted as implying for any State, group or person any right to engage in any activity or to perform any act aimed at the destruction of any of the rights and freedoms set forth herein.

Every article in this declaration should be protected. Not just in theory, but also in practice. Big organisations like the U.N. contribute to this, but local organisations also play a role in protecting these articles. Many of these organisations train activists and send them forth to execute their tasks in the best manner possible. In this photo, the organisation talked about how they could organise a closed conference abroad in order to exchange best practices with other organisations.

Justice and Peace is a non-profit organisation based in The Hague. It is dedicated to defending and promoting human rights and social justice both in the Netherlands and globally. They support the action of local change-makers – the people and organisations on the ground that are committed to making real positive change whether they are activists, artists, bloggers, lawyers, policymakers or volunteers, students or company directors.

Geen bepaling in deze Verklaring zal zodanig mogen worden uitgelegd, dat welke Staat, groep of persoon dan ook, daaraan enig recht kan ontlenen om iets te ondernemen of handelingen van welke aard ook te verrichten, die vernietiging van een van de rechten en vrijheden, in deze Verklaring genoemd, ten doel hebben.

Ieder artikel uit deze declaratie dient te worden beschermd. Niet alleen in theorie, maar ook in de praktijk. Dit gebeurt door grote organisaties, als de VN, maar ook lokale instanties houden zich hiermee bezig. Veel van deze instanties trainen activisten, waarna deze worden uitgezonden om hun taken zo goed mogelijk uit te voeren. In deze foto werd er gesproken en vergaderd over hoe ze elders een besloten conferentie moeten organiseren, zodat ze ervaringen, uit de praktijk, met andere organisaties kunnen uitwisselen.
